There are quite literally thousands of vendors and businesses out there to supply you with anything you can think of for this wonderful hobby of bonsai. Scrolling through ads or websites or Facebook groups can be daunting and confusing trying to find a 'good one'. We have been there.
as a result, we have created this ongoing list of vendors that we have purchased from. You can look at the companies or people we did business with, what we bought, and how it all went. Hopefully you can avoid some problems and pitfalls that we did not.
In all things, there is more than one side to a story, and Your Mileage May Vary
We have made two separate purchases from Wigert's Bonsai; a Chinese Banyan and a Tiger Bark Ficus.
On both occasions the ordering process was simple and easy, they helped pick a 'special' one, and they were very quick in responding to questions. Shipping was quick, tracking info available immediately, and the trees were packed within an inch of their lives. No damage could have befallen them. Both trees were as advertised if not better and very healthy.

Currently developing a new garden in Zone 9 (I know, right?!), so we were looking for a soil with a little higher percentage of organic, water holding 'stuff' so watering would not be such a chore. Bonsai Jack's Succulent Soil is really a great, pre-mixed, ready to go soil that works for our tropicals and some other finicky trees.
The price as compared to others, or buying 50 gallons of each and mixing your own, is pretty good. They were great to work with in that they did exactly what they should have, and quickly
